How to Rotate PDF Pages Online
Choose a PDF, then rotate one page, select multiple pages, or rotate all pages before preparing and downloading the resulting PDF:
- Individual page rotation: Use the dedicated rotate buttons on each page card to rotate individual pages 90° clockwise or counter-clockwise independently.
- Selected pages: Enter a range like
1-3, 5 in the toolbar and click “Apply Range” to select matching pages, replacing the current selection. Then use the selected-page Rotate Left or Rotate Right controls to rotate those pages. - Rotate All: Rotate every page in the document with a single action, preserving relative angles across mixed-orientation files.
How to Rotate a PDF and Save It Permanently
Some PDF viewers include a temporary “Rotate View” feature that only changes how a document appears while reading. To save the rotation in the PDF itself, RotatePDFOnline updates the structural /Rotate dictionary entry for each changed page and generates a new PDF. Compatible PDF viewers and printers can then display the pages in the saved orientation.
Unlike tools that rasterize PDF pages into images before rebuilding a file, RotatePDFOnline performs structural page rotation without intentionally rasterizing page content into JPEG or PNG images. Text remains selectable and vector elements remain vector content.

Privacy & Local Processing
Your documents contain private, sensitive data. Security preflight, thumbnail preview generation, structural rotation, and verification run client-side in your browser. Your PDF does not need to be uploaded for document processing.
No account is required to use the tool, and the rotation workflow does not add a watermark. Practical capacity depends on your device memory and browser performance.
RotatePDFOnline loads Google Analytics for aggregate site-usage measurement only after you allow analytics. On page loads where analytics is declined, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. PDF bytes, filenames, document text, thumbnails, passwords, and other document contents are not sent to Analytics.

Important Note on Digitally Signed PDFs
Cryptographic digital signatures verify that a document has not been modified since it was signed. Rotating and saving this document may invalidate its existing digital signature. RotatePDFOnline inspects input files during security preflight and displays an explicit interstitial warning if signature dictionaries are detected so you can choose whether to proceed.
